ANNOUNCEMENTS
WNN Celebrating 40 Years!
In 2025, WNN served 5,950 families with food assistance for a total of 18,393 individuals (of whom 7,716 were children). WNN also helped 682 families to keep their power or gas on (which is a new record). To keep this in perspective, in 2021 WNN served 3,451 families and 10,214 individuals. This represents a 71% increase in # of families and an 80% increase in # of individuals in 4 years!
This year marks the 40th Birthday of the Wynnton Neighborhood Network, with the first ever Board Meeting held on May 20, 1985. At that meeting, a forward-thinking group of men and women, from seven different congregations, sought to pool resources of volunteers, time and money to help those in need. They started small but their hearts were big. And their work continues today with over 100 volunteers serving clients five days a week helping with both food and utility assistance. To celebrate, all are invited to participate in the “$40 for 40 years Campaign.” The goal for the year is ambitious - one year's expenses ($200,000). This campaign starts in May of 2025 and will end May 1, 2026. The "kick off goal" for May of 2025 is $40,000. And we hope you can help celebrate with a donation for our future, in a time of increased need. Click Here for more information.
