Here in our ENGR2330 class, students are deep into learning more about robotics! Students go from theory and parts to working test robots that utilize FIRST libraries and supporting software to achieve a variety of tasks, such as navigating ROMIs through obstacle courses made of tape. All of these components help students understand what the FRC environment is like, and prepares them to continue on with robot design and future competition related objectives!

Last Friday, TROS had the pleasure of presenting with during Robotics Day for some very special guests! Among them were leaders from Boston Dynamics, Path Robotics, Slip Robotics, and Walmart Advanced Systems & Robotics. This was an exciting opportunity to share all that we have been working on these past few months! It provided an opportunity for club members to ask questions to professionals in the field. We also enjoyed learning more about our fellow robotics club and again thank UWRT for hosting such an event!

Introducing this year’s executive board! As classes and club activities get back into full swing, these are the members who are keeping the show running, planning events, and overseeing competition efforts to make this year a huge success. Come say hi if you see us around campus!

The Buckeye Rover Team completed assembly of their robot and submitted the proof of life video for the University Rover Challenge! You can watch the video submission here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNH3mH2Hjmo
The team still has plenty of work to do, after a well deserved spring break of course!

This weekend, members went straight from our club meeting to a fun social outing at Pins Mechanical! Various arcade games and laser tag were enjoyed, and a few prizes were won! We plan to have at least one more social event this semester, and we hope to see you there!

Tonight at PAST, our mech team finished their prototype build! In a change of pace, mech decided to try out a two-wheel drivetrain, which they managed to pull together quite quickly given the competition changes that we’ve gone through. Go mech!
