"The Community Shelter Board told the news "No One Will Be Turned Away,"
ALL SHELTERS WILL BE FULL IN THE COMING HOURS AND HOTELS ARE FULL. ACCORDING TO THE HOMELESS HOTLINE.
THERE ARE NO OTHER OPTIONS from city leadership.
Columbus Mennonite Church offered their warm and beautiful space to our non-profit and we will have emergency shelter tonight and through the week if we have the resources.
We are terrified at the idea of having to turn people away ourselves when we reach capacity, and we implore the Community Shelter Board and Columbus City Council to take immediate action. People will surely die if they do not.
We are in need of food, snacks and water. We could use folks to stay at the church overnight, and we could use clean blankets, sheets and pillows. Please message this page on Facebook if you can provide any of those things.
CALL (614) 962-4323 FOR RIDES TO A WARM PLACE
