We will create a self-sustaining farm, fueled by solar, methane and wind power.
We will partner with the VA to provide health care on and off site.
We will produce much if not all of our own food – meat, fruit and vegetables with the remainder going to veterans off site in need.
We will Partner with the colleges and universities to provide educational opportunities.
We will provide skilled tradesmen on site to upkeep the property and to train any resident who would like to learn about power, construction, IT and heating and cooling.
We will provide hunting, fishing and outdoor activities.
We will provide private apartments with centralized dining and recreational facilities.
In addition to your personal donation, we need the following:
Skilled individuals with their feet on the ground to promote the facility
A proper site – in an area close to the VA facilities but in a country setting with a woods and water area (22 acres have been acquired in Central Ohio to grow food on for Veterans - see photo below)
Members for the board of directors with skill sets in real estate, construction, and/or contacts in government, military and agriculture
A well known public person as spokesperson
The creators of this foundation are David and Judith Corbin.
Their love for their grandchildren inspired the names associated with the foundation.
The foundation was named after Granddaughter Isabel and Grandson Hunter.
The farm portion of the plan is named after Grandson Liam.
Sadly, Judith passed away in February 2018.
As David wrote, “My wife past away in February. She told me before she died that she thought she would out live me. She made me promise to finish this and I need your help.”
“ We hope to honor her memory by making her dream come true.”
“ She was a important part of this. She was the light that showed me my way, in everything I did. She didn't say anything directly, but she always made it better. I miss her terribly!”
Please help this much needed project get off the ground by donating today.
