This isn’t your average judging clinic - you will get an more in depth understanding to the art of livestock evaluation!
Saturday August 15th. Ohio Beef Youth Council Evaluation Classic, a one-day educational event designed to give youth hands-on experience evaluating cattle in real-world beef industry settings. Participants will spend the morning learning alongside Seth Ebert and The Ohio State University ATI Livestock Judging Team, then put those skills into practice at Maplecrest Farms, one of Ohio's premier Angus seedstock operations and a Trans Ova satellite location. We'll wrap up the day with a tour and market-ready cattle evaluation experience at Raines Farms, giving participants the opportunity to see another side of the beef industry and learn what drives value in commercial cattle.
Whether a young person has years of livestock judging experience or is simply interested in learning more about the beef industry, this event is designed to be educational, interactive, and welcoming to all experience levels. Registration is limited to 50 participants on a first-come, first-served basis, and we currently have about 20 spots filled, so there is still plenty of room!
