🌟 Empowering the Leaders of Tomorrow! 🌟

The Columbus (GA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated hosted an inspiring session for the Links Youth Leadership Academy, led by Chair Dr. Kia Chambers and Co-Chair Danya Albright. Special thanks to our gracious hosts Carolyn Hugley, Kimberly McCrae, and the International Trends and Services facet for their support.

We were honored to welcome Angela Lawyer, an accredited financial counselor and passionate financial wellness coach. Angela empowered our youth with valuable insights on managing their finances with confidence. This included working through budgets, discussing credit cards, especially during college, and feeling free from shame and confusion to improving their financial acumen.

At the end of the session, LYLA held their business meeting, adhering to Roberts Rule of Order. Jo Ann Taylor, Chair of International Trends and Services facet, presented their facet’s focus on preparing youth for a global workforce. The young ladies dined on a Global Street Food Market, which featured Asian and Afro–Latin fusion cuisines.

🌸 Celebrating a Year of Service & Partnership 🌸

The Columbus (GA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated recently gathered for our final chapter meeting of the program year. To celebrate the season, we embraced "Springtime Affair: Blooms, Bonds, and Beautiful Moments" theme—filling the room with vibrant pinks, yellows, and oranges.

While the colors were bright, the true highlight was reflecting on the impactful work we’ve accomplished together. To our community partners: thank you for walking alongside us this year. Your collaboration is the heartbeat of our service, and we are already looking forward to the innovative ways we will work with you in the upcoming year!

As we transition into our summer planning phase, we carry this spirit of "Springtime" energy with us—ready to grow, build, and serve even more.
