In the Upper Arlington tradition of neighbors helping neighbors, several community organizations have joined forces to support families facing a temporary loss in SNAP funding this month. 💛 Thanks to an initial grant from the Upper Arlington Community Foundation’s Good Neighbor Fund, $100 grocery store gift cards will be available to residents currently enrolled in SNAP.

This first round of cards is limited to 150 participants, on a first-registered, first-served basis. If community needs exceed this initial distribution, additional cards and future pickup dates will be made available as donations replenish the Good Neighbor Fund.

Want to help others? 🤝 Community members can also donate to the Good Neighbor Fund through the Upper Arlington Community Foundation to support future rounds of grocery gift cards.

We're gearing up for our last Treasures and Trinkets sale of the year! Saturday, September 16rh - in the parking lot of the Northwest Christian Church (1340 Fishinger Rd, 43221). Watch for upcoming posts with photos of what will be for sale, but so far we know there will be plenty of books, CDs (including a CD tower/holder), DVDs, VHS, and cassette tapes, puzzles, and games. Come check it out! If you'd like to join as a seller, it's just $20 for a space ($35 for 2 spaces).

A club member spent part of the morning sorting eyeglasses. Each bag has 25 pairs for further processing by SVOSH group (optometry student volunteers) at The Ohio State University.

We're baaaccckk! Another Treasures and Trinkets Yard Sale is this Saturday, August 5th, in the parking lot of the Northwest Christian Church, 1340 Fishinger Road, Upper Arlington, 43221, from 7 am to noon (seller set up at 6 am). We'd love to have more sellers!

Thank you to the Tri-Village Community for supporting our annual Pancake Breakfast.
The Grandview Hts Middle School facilities & their staff were amazing.
Fresh Thyme, Giant Eagle,
and Littleton's Market were most generous!
It was especially wonderful to meet clients and staff through our collaboration with First Community's Heart to Heart Food Pantry.
Thank you to the Lions from clubs across Central Ohio for your invaluable help!

And those of you who came and enjoyed our delicious offerings, we thank you!

The money raised from this event helps to support our many service projects throughout the year.
