Wednesday November 12: food delivery, truck unloading and shelf stocking from 9:30-11:00am

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday November 18, 20 & 22: Client shopping days. Customers are served from 9-11:30am (or when the last shopper leaves) Volunteers please arrive by 8:45am.

In preparation for Thanksgiving we are accepting donations of frozen turkeys, stuffing mix and gravy mix.If you come across a good sale, please keep us in mind. Thank you!

Dear Livingston Church Family and Neighbors,

At the conclusion of worship last week, we shared an update that we were expecting to close on the sale of the church property this past week. That closing did indeed happen, and word is making its way through channels around town.

While we are still working on securing our next home, we want our community and friends to know that we aren't going anywhere anytime soon. The church is still the church, and we will remain in the current building, doing ministry as we do, for at least the next two years, if not longer.

We have been and remain in the hunt for the right next space, and we, as a faith community, are not closing our doors in any way. We continue to operate as we have been! While the property may have a new owner, we still do what we do in Jesus' name, so that whatever new space we do find, we will continue to be well-equipped to love our neighbors, as they are, where they are.

Produce needed for our food pantry for July!

Are you a gardener that might have excess for the above serving dates? If so please consider sharing with us. The reason for this is there will be no Shop-Through this month due to effects of budget cuts. MidOhio is hoping to have this service back up and running in August. For now we are asking for help so please consider us when you see your bounty.

In May it was our privilege to provide assistance to 72 households consisting of 168 persons. Thank you to our volunteer force who meet the needs of each client on whichever day they come to us.

My apologies for not updating this page for a while. Rosemary’s Cupboard remains open and is serving persons in Central Columbus. Please note the zip code restrictions in the information section of this page.

In January we served 71 households (146 persons), in February we served 80 households (167 persons) and in March we served 79 households (179 persons).

This month, April, we will only be open 2 days : Tuesday April 22 and Thursday April 24th.
If you are one of our usual Saturday shoppers please come on one of those dates if that works out for you.

In December our food pantry served 75 households consisting of 190 persons. Then this month (January) we served 71 households consisting of 146 persons.

The dates of service for February are Tuesday the 18th, Thursday the 20th, and Saturday the 22nd.

Please disregard any rumors that Rosemary’s Cupboard Food pantry has closed. While it is true that the physical building of Livingston UMC is for sale, ALL of the ministries and organizations that operate out of Livingston are open for business - and that includes this food pantry.

On occasion Google will show Rosemary’s Cupboard as being temporarily closed. This is because the pantry is only open on the last full week of the month. If it was shown as open all the time it would be misleading and folks would come to the church on days when we are closed. The best place to find up to date information about this pantry is on the website for Livingston UMC.

Serving residents of zip codes 43215, 43205, 43206, 43207, and 43209. Charitable Pharmacy patients outside of these zip codes are also welcome with a referral from a member of the Charitable Pharmacy staff.

This is the team involved with delivering then unloading the proceeds of a food drive held by Stewart Ave. Elementary School. Rosemary’s Cupboard is honored to have been the recipient of these nonperishable food items. Our clients at the food pantry will be well served by this generosity.

Here’s a brief update for our Food Pantry. In September 80 families were served consisting of 205 persons. Then in October we were honored to serve 91 families comprised of 252 persons.
In November Rosemary’s Cupboard will be open to customers on Tuesday the 19th, Thursday the 21st and Saturday the 23rd. Hours of operation remain the same: 9:00AM-11:15 AM.

What a successful summer as it comes to helping members of our community put food on their tables to feed themselves and their families. In June 69 families were served (181 people), in July 80 families (206 people) and in August there were 104 families (279 people). What a privilege to make a difference in the lives of all these folks!
With the Lord’s help and a dedicated team of volunteers many obstacles were overcome and needs were met. We are excited to see what September has in store for Rosemary’s Cupboard.

What to be a part of this valuable ministry? September dates are as follows:

September 18: unload truck and stock shelves 0930-1100

September 24, 26 and 28: client shopping days 0900-1115 (volunteers arrive 0845 or earlier)

The Food Pantry is open this month on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, June 25th, 27th, and 29th from 9:00-11:15AM. Zip codes served are 43215, 43205, 43206, 43207 & 43209. Service is first come/first served and limited to 45 shoppers per day.
Tuesday is usually our busiest day so consider coming to shop on Thursday or Saturday.
If you are new to Rosemary’s Cupboard please bring a photo ID and prof of residence for registration.

Please remember to bring sturdy shopping bags and since the weather has turned hot consider bringing an insulated bag for your frozen foods. If you walk or ride the bus bring either a folding shopping cart or a suitcase with wheels as this will make your journey easier.

Service week is over for May. It was a privilege to serve 63 households this month and to work alongside 25 likeminded individuals in the battle against hunger in our community.

We will be open again June 25, 27 & 29. Mark your calendar. A reminder notice will be posted in June.
