Forever grateful for those who support our cause. We go where people fear. We serve at hours no one likes to volunteer. In the past 3 years we have seen and experience things in our city that noone likes to hear. I definitely belong to a sisterhood of survivors who risk it all to show Love is a remedy. Thanks to Besa for helping us paint some rooms at one of our safe houses and supplies for our street family.

Advocacy is long-suffering and the Frontliners know several things about this. Consider this year to learn about these organizations. We love the unlovable and it is our actions more than our words to them that give them hope. Acts of kindness go a long way. There are too many people hungry in our city especially the children.

So grateful to celebrate with these people, to celebrate the extraordinary commitment and soul and impact of these people, in Crossroads’ lovely building.

We were there to acknowledge the amazing work accomplished in 2023, but also to muster energy and enthusiasm for this year ahead. We shed a lot of tears for those who weren’t there—those who should have been—and still, even in that grief, the community shone through. ❤️

Here’s to this year ahead. Here’s to carrying the spirit of those we’ve lost along with us in our work to come. Here’s to all those who support and are supported in this resilient, complicated, gorgeous community.
