Marburn Academy

Marburn Academy was founded in 1981 by a group of visionary parents, educators, and civic leaders.

Marburn Academy is an independent day school devoted to serving the educational needs of students who learn differently due to dyslexia, ADHD, and executive function challenges. These individuals saw our community’s need for a school that would provide effective instruction for bright students whose learning differences prevented them from succeeding in traditional school programs. Marburn Academy

serves students with average to above intelligence who have been unable to learn in their previous schools due to difficulties often labeled as learning disabilities. A staff of highly trained teachers, specialists, and professionals instruct students from more than 34 Central Ohio communities in primary through High School grades. Marburn Academy reserves the right to remove any comments that it deems necessary. Examples of this include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Defamatory, malicious, obscene, intimidating, discriminatory, harassing or threatening comments or hate propaganda;
• Calls to violence of any kind;
• Content posted by fake or anonymous users.

Each year, fifth-grade students prepare for their annual trip to Biztown with a round of mock interviews conducted by the faculty and staff. The interviews are great for practicing public speaking, critical thinking, and problem solving. Additionally, they are a factor in the student's job placement for their visit to Biztown, where they will practice real-world job skills and stretch their leadership abilities.

Each spring, we say "goodbye" to its seniors in our own, special way. Senior Dinner is a long-standing tradition at Marburn, where the upcoming graduates are celebrated by a faculty or staff member of their choosing in the presence of their family, friends, and peers. It's an emotional night, filled with memories, words of encouragement, and genuine love. Congrats to the (soon-to-be) Class of 2026.
