🍀 Lowndes County 4-H Volunteer Appreciation Spotlight! 🍀

Today, we would like to recognize two of our longest-serving 4-H Shooting Sports volunteers, Mr. Joey McCullough and Mr. George Corbell!

Joey and George have dedicated countless hours to our Lowndes County 4-H Sh***un program, sharing their knowledge, experience, and passion for shooting sports with generations of 4-H members.

Through countless practices and competitions, they have helped our youth develop their sh***un skills, learn the importance of fi***rm safety, build confidence, and demonstrate good sportsmanship.

There is never a dull moment with these two! Their humor, personalities, and dedication make every practice and competition memorable. Over the years, they have made a lasting impact on so many 4-H members, teaching them not only shooting sports skills but also valuable life lessons they will carry with them long after their time in 4-H.

Their commitment to 4-H extends far beyond Lowndes County. Not only do they dedicate their time to our local sh***un program, but they also volunteer their time and expertise to help make shooting sports competitions successful at both the district and state levels. Their willingness to step up wherever they are needed is a true reflection of their dedication to the 4-H program.

We are incredibly grateful for their years of service, continued support, and the countless memories they have helped create along the way. Our sh***un program would not be what it is today without these two!

Please join us in thanking Mr. Joey and Mr. George for everything they have done and continue to do for Lowndes County 4-H and Mississippi 4-H Shooting Sports! 🍀

🍀Lowndes County 4-H Alumni Spotlight🍀

We would like to spotlight Lowndes County's very own 4-H alumni and volunteer, Ronald Gatewood!
We are proud to have Ronald as a part of our Lowndes County 4-H family! Thank you continuing to be a part of 4-H in Lowndes County!

A message from Ronald:
I’m proud to serve as a 4-H volunteer Shooting Sports Coach and to give back to a program that helped shape my own youth experience. Through 4-H, I learned valuable life skills, made lasting friendships, and enjoyed opportunities from Club Congress at Mississippi State to competitions across the country to include places like Washington D.C. & Indiana.
Today, I serve as the Director of User Services for Mississippi State University's Information Technology Services department, helping people meet their technology needs. The leadership, communication, and teamwork skills I developed through 4-H played an important role in shaping the professional and leader I am today.
I encourage every young person to get involved in 4-H and take advantage of all it has to offer.
