Hey gang! Sorry for the late start this year. We have the opportunity to join Leake County again at Lake Tiak'O'Khata on June 13 and 14. It's $50 which includes meals, accommodations, and swim band. Let me know ASAP if you are interested.

I just realized I never got around to posting my Lake Tiak-O’Khata photos! So sorry about that. I had a blast, & it looked like EVERYONE did!! Check out the pics!

And W O W! We had lessons by expert fisherman Reid Nevins on tying fishing knots (Did I mention W O W ?), fishing rod casting practice & competitions, paddling for fun in the sun, some folks paddling their kayaks like SUPs (stand-up paddleboards - what?!), some folks paddling their kayaks w/ their feet in the water or in the air (uh, adults, fess up!), a few unnamed OLDER boys who broke their paddles into 2 pieces & paddled hooked together as a train paddled by makeshift canoe paddles (what?!), paddle splashing (HAD to happen - and BTW, it's better than a sq**rt gun), bumper boats (also had to happen), clean-up (balls, fishing line, trash) to save the wildlife (A SUPER HUGE THANK YOU for helping the wildlife!!!), & a very cool night paddle with even cooler glow sticks. Did I miss anything? Oh - ducks. Lots of ducks. And baby ducks. And duck nests. And some cool starlings and/or purple martins. You were there - spread the word. This was SUPER COOL! Come join the club & have fun with us! (p.s. And a few kids learned a little paddling technique, too.) ALL wore PFDs, & ALL are OFFICIAL 4-H KAYAK PADDLERS! SYOTW next time! Lake Tiak-O'Khata this weekend! Whoo-Hoo! Kayaking, fishing, sunshine, swimming, more kayaking . . . It's gonna be GREAT! Bring some sunscreen 'cause it's gonna get HOT!! Did I mention we're going to KAYAK?! WOO HOO!!! 💦
