Whatever you go outside of God to get, you must stay outside to keep.
God has consistently warned about relationships in my past, but I didn’t listen. In my pride I thought I was good enough (pretty, smart, sexy, smart, godly enough) to make a wrong thing right. God gave me clear warnings and I ignored them each time.
As I faced the fight of my life, I prayed, fasted and reluctantly prayed that pray that always caused God to move in my life, “Not my will, but yours be done.” And suddenly things change. I hoped for healing and deliverance for my marriage, but decided to deliver me by moving me out.
There’s much more I can say here, but I encourage you that when you hear God, that small, still voice or see the confirmation you’ve prayed for—however He speaks to you—Listen! As much as we may want a thing or how good it may look now, God knows the heart. Even yours. Trust Him with it.
