The Army Sniper Association is a nonprofit organization formed by snipers for snipers. The mission of the Army Sniper Association is to develop a climate of camaraderie among snipers, past and present. Other goals are to foster the sniper concept within the active military, ensure and strengthen military relationships, and always conduct ourselves as professionals. The Army Sniper Association is a
community brought together by the knowledge of the sciences and appreciation of the art involved in being a sniper. Our members consist of doctors, lawyers, police officers, and past and present members of our Armed Forces. After the US Army tasked Company D, 2nd Battalion of the 29th Infantry Regiment, to create the Army’s first official sniper school, the US Army has employed these "Silent Warriors" worldwide, notably in Panama, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Snipers are an invaluable weapon for the battlefield commander. Still, deep in tradition, the sniper has always been the silent servant. There is no glamour in being a sniper. If the job is done right, few people will even know that snipers were there. Inherently, there is no fame or fortune for the sniper. Instead, it is sweat, dirt, blood, and the satisfaction of doing a difficult job well. You can help through donations, participating in programs that raise money, giving your time, as well as corporate sponsorships. This money will be used to assist wounded snipers and their families and the families of snipers killed in action. Additionally, the Army Sniper Association will verify our eligibility requirements with the Department of Defense; incidences of fraud are rare to non-existent. Thank you for your support and dedication to the community of Silent Warriors! The Army Sniper Association is not part of the Department of Defense and does not represent any DoD Organization
