Not every safe adult says the “perfect” thing.
But safe people make you feel heard, respected, and supported. 🤍

Sometimes one sentence can change how alone someone feels.

You deserve support that sounds like:
“I’m glad you told me.”
“We can figure this out together.”
“You’re not in trouble.”

Everyone deserves a space where they can ask questions, be honest, and feel cared for without judgment.

Save this for a reminder of what safe support can sound like.

Stress isn’t always obvious.

Sometimes it looks like:
-being irritated easily.
-overthinking everything.
-sleeping all the time.
-feeling exhausted for no clear reason.
-wanting to shut everyone out.

Just because someone doesn’t look stressed doesn’t mean they aren’t carrying a lot.
Check in on your people and don’t forget to check in on yourself too 🤍

Confidence isn’t always the loudest person in the room.
Sometimes it looks like asking questions, trying again, setting boundaries, or showing up even when you’re nervous. 🌱

There’s no “perfect” way to be confident.
You’re allowed to grow into it at your own pace. ✨

The people you surround yourself with matter.

Sometimes regret feels loud.
Like a loop you can’t turn off… replaying every “what if.”

But growth often looks like realizing you’d choose differently now.

That doesn’t make past you wrong.
It means present you is wiser.

You are allowed to learn.
You are allowed to move forward without carrying shame.

You matter — not just when you get it right,
but even in the moments you wish you could redo.

You don’t always need a big solution.

Sometimes you just need a small shift.

Step outside.
Take a breath.
Let your mind slow down for a second.

It might not fix everything, but it can help you feel a little clearer, a little calmer, a little more like yourself again.

And that matters more than you think. 🌤️

Hosted by Cheryl LaBelle, this episode pulls back the curtain on what’s really happening between the scenes we binge and the ads we scroll past without thinking twice. From TV storylines to social media marketing, we explore how sexualized messaging has become so embedded in media that it often slips by unnoticed, especially for teens growing up in it every day.

Cheryl is joined by special guests & community educators, Katie McNealy and Taylor Schmidt, for a grounded, honest conversation about how these constant visuals and subtle cues can shape self-image, expectations, and the way young people understand relationships and identity.

Together, they unpack what it means to grow up in a world where attention is currency, image is curated, and “normal” is often decided by advertising boards and algorithms. It’s insightful, a little unsettling, and deeply necessary.
Because sometimes the most influential messages are the ones that only last an ad break.
