Before being formerly diagnosed with PTSD and exhibiting self destructive behaviors, a Marine leader offered me a chance to go fishing. From that moment on, through great conversation with someone who understood, and great fishing, I found my outlet. Here at Tackle 22 Fishing, I offer our Active Duty, Veterans, and Retirees the same opportunity to go fishing at no charge. I learned that saving a l

ife and putting an end to the national average of 22 Veteran su***des a day can be as easy as offering a seat on my boat, and a day on the water. Through great conversation with someone who has experienced some of the same things our war fighters deal with every day, I aim to end the tragedy that is Veteran su***de and help our Veterans find a way to channel their energy that is both therapeutic, and exciting. Fishing is the great equalizer that realigns the mind wind with the soul and resets the world. Join me and help make 22 become 0. Alyssa and I took part in the North Alabama Catfish Trail tournament on Wilson Lake. The fishing was TOUGH, and the wind definitely made it tougher. We battled through and managed a 2nd place finish with a total weight of 100.2lbs with a big fish of 51.3lbs.

The Tennessee River is my favorite fishery and we’re having more and more success each trip. Thank you to our sponsors that make all of this possible!

Tackle 22 Fishing and my partner Justin Tomlinson from Kuntreefied Fish’n fished the Twisted Cat Outdoors BAMA BLUES tournament yesterday on wheeler lake in Decatur AL.

We had a great trip battling the cold and 104 teams of the best catfishermen and women in the country. We managed to weigh 122lbs of fish including a big fish of 63lbs for a 3rd place finish.

Thank you to Twisted Cat Outdoors and Bama Blues for putting on an amazing event! I can’t wait for next year!

Had a great time fishing the Dry Creek Marine LLC annual Catfish Tournament. We got to fish this one with my son, Noah. We didn’t place but we made the most out of it and had a great time! I’m starting to think he’s enjoying catching some big catfish!

Alyssa Sams Bell and I fished the North Alabama Catfish Trail Battle of the Lakes Tournament this weekend. We had to fish 6 hours on Wilson and 6 hours on Wheeler. We didn't do particularly well, however we did manage to win the flathead pot and Alyssa won top Lady Angler! We always enjoy the North Alabama Tournaments!
