On May 14th at approximately 2am the Columbus Fire Department responded to a grass fire northwest of Columbus.

On May 14th at approximately 12pm the Columbus Fire Department responded to a grass fire south of Columbus.
Thank you to Lignite Fire for the mutual aid.

On May 15th at approximately 1030am the Columbus Fire Department responded to a grass fire south of Columbus.

NO open burning in Burke County if you see smoke call 911 with the high winds the next few days it will be hard to stop a fire.
