The .S. Surgeon General has once again sounded the alarm on gun violence as an urgent public health issue. We are working with city partners to build resilience and a safer community through anti-violence programs ReRoute, the Right Response Unit, VOICE and the CARE Coalition, but we need your help too. If you have a gun, keep it unloaded and locked, especially if you have children. Learn more about our programs and see how to get a free lock box at columbus.gov/Services/Public-Health/Find-Healthcare-Resources/Neighborhood-Social-Services. See the Surgeon General’s report at SurgeonGeneral.gov/firearm-violence.
