We’re kicking off spring a week early by cultivating community with our NLC Columbus crew! On March 13th, join us for an evening of connection and conversation as we welcome the next generation of dynamic individuals in this year’s New Leaders Council Columbus cohort.

While this is a casual happy hour event, we hope you’ll join us in laying the foundation for a stronger sense of community and shared purpose within our chapter during these troubling times.

Our annual “Meet the Fellows” event is a chance for NLC alumni like you to engage in meaningful dialogue with the 2025 fellows. Come ready to share your insights, learn from the fellows’ perspectives, and build relationships that will shape the future of progressive leadership in Columbus. We’ll provide the drinks; you bring your passion for positive change!

This is more than just networking – it’s an opportunity to cultivate a thriving community of leaders dedicated to making a difference. This is a casual event where you’re welcome to come and go throughout, and we’ll have a structured “meet & greet” community builder at the top that you won’t want to miss!

We are saddened by the loss of a beloved NLC Columbus alum, community leader, husband, father, and friend. Ernest was a giant in our community whose impact was known not just here in Columbus but nationally. His capstone gave way to an organization that is a pillar in our community dedicated to social change and mentorship that uses the wisdom of chess to protect, heal, and build community by cultivating wellness, mindfulness, and critical thinking.

Ernest’s impact on our community is everlasting and we will cherish the moments, experiences, and time we were able to spend with him. Ernest, you will be missed.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family.
