I had the incredible opportunity to sit down with Jennifer Bullock for NBC4’s The Motherload to share the heart behind the Pursuit of Rainbows Foundation and talk about our upcoming fundraiser, A Toast to Hope! 🥂

What started as a deeply personal journey has grown into a mission to help other families facing infertility find hope, support, and access to the care they deserve.

Every opportunity to share our story is a chance to remind someone navigating infertility that they are not alone. And every conversation helps us shine a light on the financial barriers that stand between so many families and their dreams of parenthood.

23 states have laws requiring some level of insurance coverage for infertility services. But here’s the catch: having a mandate doesn’t always mean having access to affordable treatment.

Coverage varies significantly from state to state. Some mandates cover specific fertility treatments, while others have restrictions that leave families responsible for thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket expenses.

💔 The reality? For too many individuals and couples, the path to parenthood isn’t just shaped by medical challenges. It’s shaped by financial ones, too.

Even here in Ohio, where limited infertility insurance requirements exist, many families still face significant gaps in coverage.

At Pursuit of Rainbows Foundation, we believe the ability to build a family shouldn’t be determined by financial circumstances. That’s why we’re committed to breaking down financial barriers through fertility grants, advocacy, and community support.

✨ Because access to fertility care shouldn’t be a privilege. It should be a possibility for every family.

🌈 Hope is opening a new door.

On November 1, applications will officially open for the next Pursuit of Rainbows Foundation Grant Cycle.

We know that for many families experiencing infertility, the financial cost of treatment can become one more barrier in an already difficult journey. Our grant program was created to help ease that burden and give more Ohio families the opportunity to continue pursuing their dream of growing their family.

Beginning November 1, eligible applicants will be able to access the application and full grant guidelines.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. 🤍

For the babies carried but never brought home.
For the babies held for far too short a time.
For the pregnancies that ended before anyone else even knew they existed.
For the due dates that still live on the calendar.
For the names spoken often—and the names held quietly in a parent’s heart.

Pregnancy and infant loss can leave a grief that is profound, complicated, and often invisible to the world around it.

This month, we remember every baby and honor every family whose story includes loss. There is no timeline for grief. There is no “right” way to remember. And moving forward never means forgetting.

At Pursuit of Rainbows, we believe these stories deserve space, too. 🤍🌈

Why did we create Pursuit of Rainbows?

Because hope can feel impossible to hold onto when you’re navigating infertility.

Hope after another negative test.
Hope after another difficult conversation.
Hope after another setback.
Hope when the financial barriers feel bigger than the dream itself.

We know that feeling because we’ve lived it.

Pursuit of Rainbows was founded on the belief that hope should never be out of reach because of the cost of building a family.

We exist to help restore hope through financial assistance, education, advocacy, and compassionate community support—walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate one of life’s most challenging journeys.

Hope isn’t just something we talk about.

It’s the family who receives a grant and gets to move forward with treatment.

It’s the person who finally feels seen after reading someone else’s story.

It’s the community that comes together to remind someone they are not alone.

Every volunteer.
Every donor.
Every partnership.
Every conversation.
Every dollar raised.

Together, they create hope.

Because while we can’t promise the outcome of every journey, we can promise that no one has to walk it alone.

September is PMOS (formerly PCOS) Awareness Month. 💙

You may know it as PCOS (Polycystic O***y Syndrome), but this year, the condition was officially renamed PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) to better reflect its complex hormonal and metabolic nature.

PMOS affects approximately 1 in 8 women worldwide and is one of the leading causes of ovulatory infertility. While it can impact fertility, a PMOS diagnosis does not define your future. Many individuals with PMOS go on to build their families through a variety of paths—including lifestyle changes, medication, fertility treatments, and assisted reproductive technology.

At Pursuit of Rainbows, we believe education empowers people to advocate for their health, understand their options, and know they are never alone.

This month, we stand with every person living with PMOS and every family navigating their path to parenthood. 💙
