Congratulations to Life Member, Dana Brock as he was the recipient of the Dr. Patrice Palmer Restored Citizens Award. This award was previously simply named The Restored Citizens Award, however the name changed after Drr. Palmer's passing. She was a fierce advocate for justice reform, fair chances and system impacted people. Much like Dr. Palmer, Dana embodies those same characteristics. They are both fine examples of your past should not define your future. They both are Life Membersv of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice. Dr. Palmer would be pleased that Dana is the first recipient of the award named after her. Confine l Continue to sleep in peace, Dr. Palmer and Dana continue to carry out her legacy, while leaving your own mark on the world! Jerry Revish and Ohio NABCJ Vice - President Lanaya Rene'e McDonald presented the award as she serves on the committee.

As our children prepare to head back to the classroom, many families are still in need of the basic school supplies that will help their students start the year with confidence. Every backpack, notebook, pack of pencils, or box of crayons donated is an investment in a child’s future.

I’m asking our community to come together one more time and show what Columbus is made of. Let’s make sure every child walks through those school doors feeling prepared, encouraged, and knowing their community believes in them.
