What We Do:
Twin Cedars Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) is a family-based program that provides comprehensive service delivery for children in foster care. Children are matched with a TFC foster family that has been trained to meet the child’s unique set of challenges and needs. TFC foster parents are supported by seasoned social services professionals who possess the formal education and experience to guide each foster family throughout the treatment process.
The service delivery planning process is central to guiding decisions regarding mental health services, physical health, education, socialization, cultural/religious needs, birth family connections, education supports and permanency. The TFC foster parents are vital to the planning process. A variety of service providers and other professionals knowledgeable and concerned about the child are included in the planning process and may include: the child, foster parent(s), Twin Cedars case manager, Twin Cedars supervisor, state case manager, therapist, school teacher, advocates and birth family when appropriate.
