I recently saw a quote that said;

“The potential is equally distributed; the opportunity is not.”

Mentorship programs like After-School All-Stars Ohio aim to drive equity and close the mentoring gap through quality mentoring relationships for young people. We activate a diverse cross-sector movement that prioritizes relationships and fuels opportunity for young people everywhere they are — from schools to workplaces, and beyond. 👥✨

We're committed to making a difference in Toledo and Columbus by amplifying mentoring strategies in our communities, that can have a significant impact on future generations. 🌍
This program not only offers hope for our communities but also supports our dedicated first responders, and most importantly changes the trajectory of our youth affected by violence and other social determinants of health.

📢 Exciting news! The After-School All-Stars Ohio Mentorship Program had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with the Columbus Blue Jackets at their First Responders Night event last Friday at Nationwide Arena! 🙌🏼🏒

The program focuses on providing positive mentorship and new experiences for youth in Columbus, especially in challenging neighborhoods. The impact of mentors, including local law enforcement, is incredible! ❤️👮‍♂️👩‍🏫

At the event, one of our exceptional students, Willie White, couldn't stop talking about the positive influence of the mentors. It's heartwarming to see these connections making a difference! 👥🗣️

We are grateful for our partnership with the Blue Jackets Foundation, supporting efforts to empower the youth we serve. This collaboration is instrumental in creating a brighter future for Columbus. 🤝💙

Mentors and local law enforcement were invited to Nationwide Arena to enjoy a thrilling Blue Jackets game, celebrating our first responders and the power of mentorship. It was an unforgettable night! 🚓📣🎉

The After-School All-Stars Ohio Mentorship Program is immensely proud of this collaboration and the support received from the Columbus Blue Jackets. Together, we are shaping the lives of our youth and making a lasting impact. 🌟🌎

Yesterday's collaboration between the After-School All-Stars Ohio first responders-led mentorship program and the COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS FOUNDATION & Columbus Blue Jackets 🏒was incredible! As you can tell by the smiles on the faces😃

What I love about The Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation (CBJ) is that they are dedicated to the health and wellness of children in central Ohio.👏🏾👏🏾

In coordination with the Blue Jackets First Responder Night, presented by Jet's Pizza, CBI PLAYER/Stinger made a surprise appearance at our pre-Thanksgiving cohort get-together between mentees (students grades 5-8), their families, and their first responder mentors.

From playing hockey to making holiday cards for the Ohio State Highway Patrol card contest, every moment was filled with joy and learning.

✨As a special treat, mentors, mentees, and their families received exclusive tickets to attend the First Responders Night game together on December 8!👏🏾👏🏾

Witnessing this amazing collaboration between the non-profit, private and public sectors is so inspiring! Let's keep pushing boundaries and amplifying possibilities together!
