We deliver life like therapy dolls to Seniors suffering from Dementia for comfort, companionship and purpose and are the only organization in the USA to offer comprehensive Dementia Doll T

herapy Training & Certification to caregivers and staff. My work with the elderly started with caring for my sweet grandmother, Ruby Sims who suffered with Dementia. The days were hard and long but love-filled. My grandmother loved designer clothes, designer dogs, big bold jewelry, vanilla ice cream and pedicures...but most of all she loved her grandbabies! In the end it was simply a baby doll or stuffed animal that brought her comfort, peace and a sense of calm during times of agitation and confusion. Studies have proven the use of therapy dolls reduce insomnia, agitation, wondering, anxiety, sun downing, yelling and violent outburst. These types of behaviors of difficult to manage both in a community and home care setting. Diversion techniques like the introduction of a GRAND BABY are innovative and extremely helpful. We deliver dolls to local Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities through our Baby Shower events. ALL of our therapy babies are new, outfitted and FREE thanks to donations from the public and various community healthcare partners. Working with local partners and Senior Living Communities our goal is to provide as many Grand Babies to as many people as possible. Volunteers are always needed to help dress babies and or host baby shower delivery events at local Senior Living Communities. We are always in need of newborn diapers, new baby blankets, hats and booties too! If you sew or knit or know of a group that does we would love to connect with you. This is an amazing organization! They along with ALL the referral partners helped our nonprofit grow substantially in North Texas! We now have a major footprint there and are able to support hundreds of people living with Dementia with our dementia doll therapy program!👶🏻❤️
