At Vista Village, our mission goes beyond providing housing; we aim to foster the community connections that empower residents to transform their lives.

Recently, one of our young adult residents, Janera, reached a significant personal milestone—celebrating her baptism at One Church here in Columbus.
Her story is a beautiful reminder that finding “home” and stability is about more than just a roof over your head; it’s about the connections that ground you.

We are so proud of her growth and thankful for the community partners like One Church who help our neighbors find their footing.

Join us in the comments by sending her some love and encouragement!

Vista Village was honored to have our fundraising reception hosted by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost. It was an incredible night dedicated to supporting our residents and expanding the impact of our community.

A massive thank you to Google for sponsoring this event and to everyone who joined us to invest in the daily operations and future of our village. Your support ensures that "hope and opportunity" aren't just words on a flyer—they are the reality for the people we serve.

Events like these underscore the importance of public-private collaboration in creating sustainable pathways for our residents. Thank you to all the community leaders and partners who
attended and contributed to this mission-critical cause.

At Vista Village, our goal is to help our residents rediscover their purpose and agency. Today, we are so honored to highlight Geanita, one of our residents, who recently returned from a missions trip to the Dream Center in California! Her decision to serve others on a national scale reflects something powerful: a shift from seeking stability to providing it for others.

Watching our residents give back—not just within our Village, but across the country—is a testament to the resilience, generosity, and leadership that grows within our community. When we invest in people, they, in turn, invest in the world.

Please join us in celebrating Geanita and her incredible heart for service.

This Christmas season, be the reason someone believes in second chances.

Vista Village — Ohio’s first tiny home community for individuals experiencing homelessness — proves what secure housing, community, and supportive services can make possible. When you Sponsor a Resident, you are directly supporting someone working to rebuild their life.

Over the last ten months, our residents have made great strides: higher-paying jobs for more than half, GEDs or advanced training for more than a quarter, renewed financial stability, reconnection with family, and, for several parents, restored visitation with their children.

Partner with us in changing lives. We’re aiming to raise $24,000 by year’s end to help cover the cost of providing safe, stable housing and on-site supportive services for four residents in 2026.

We had the privilege of welcoming U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner, along with Senator Bernie Moreno and Senator Jon Husted, to Vista Village. Their visit was more than just a tour—it symbolized a growing recognition of the need for bold, innovative models to address homelessness.

We are sincerely thankful for their interest in the work happening here and for highlighting solutions that challenge the status quo. A special thank you goes to Senator Moreno, who went above and beyond by personally circulating one of our resident’s resumes to help her find a job. That kind of care and action shows the heart behind the policy.

This visit reminds us that when leaders at the national level take an interest in local innovation, real change becomes possible. Together, we can reimagine what housing solutions look like and create pathways to dignity and stability for all.

This past weekend, Vista Village residents had the opportunity to attend an on-site Financial Empowerment Seminar led by Columbus Urban League with special guests from Primerica, PNC Bank, and the Ohio Department of Commerce -- and we can’t thank you all enough!

From start to finish, your team brought energy, knowledge, and genuine care to our community. Residents shared how engaging, inspiring, and even fun the day was. One attendee even admitted she expected a long, boring lecture, having sat through other dry financial literacy classes in the past. She was shocked by how much she enjoyed this seminar, how quickly the time flew by, and how much new information she walked away with.

Another resident proudly shared he’s finally moving his savings from “under the mattress” into a bank account, and others left excited to start saving money and investing for the first time. These are big steps, and your work made them possible.

We’re very grateful for the time, effort, and heart your team poured into this experience, especially on a Saturday. Thank you for showing up for us and making financial literacy feel not only relevant, but empowering and achieveable!

It’s true, we are so grateful for Divine Dignity!

One basket can change how someone feels about moving into a new space.

We hear it again and again from our partners like Lexi at Vista Village.

Your support makes that kind of welcome possible.

Last week our community got together to share a special dinner together. It's not often we can get everyone together at once but when we do the room is always filled with laughter and love.

A special shoutout to Bruce and Debbie from Happy Chicken Farms and Merry Milk Maid for providing dinner for our community.
