Meet Lindsey! Her and the Novesta team have done a fantastic job with First Chance Camp the last several years, and we are so excited to have them back again this year! Here are a few facts about our pal Lindsey:

How long have you been coming to Wolverine?
"I think I did 8 years as a camper (maybe 6) and this is my 3rd year as a counselor!"

What is your favorite campfire snack?
"S'mores of course! With the marshmallows a nice golden brown - not burnt 😁"

What is one of your favorite camp memories?
"Not necessarily a single moment, but many times around the campfire singing worship songs and hearing all the different voices blending together beautifully."

What do you hope the campers get from your weekend at camp?
"It's only a few short days for First Chance Camp, but my prayer is that the kids will see and know Jesus loves them, and God is good!"

Meet Amanda - she leads our Skills Week! She does a great job balancing all the different camps that run during that week. Here are few things for you to learn about this wonderful gem:

1. What is your favorite camp game?
"I love kickball!"

2. What is one phrase your campers will hear you say all week?
"Drink water!!!!" "Put on sunscreen!!!"

3. How long have you been coming to Wolverine?
"Since I was in Kindergarten! So 36 years!"

4. What is one thing you hope your campers experience during your week?
"I hope the campers experience the love of God, so they can know how much He loves them. I also hope they know how much we love them, and want them to have fun!"

1. How long have you been coming to Wolverine?
"I started coming to WCSC as a camper in 2005! I was a 'jerf' in 2010, and have been faculty in some way ever since!"

2. What is your go to canteen snack?
Snickers Ice Cream + Pop!

3. What is your favorite camp memory?
"How do I pick?! One that really stands out is during one of the first years as dean, we had a lot of rain that made for several schedule changes. Then after one of the evening lessons we walked out to the most beautiful rainbow filling the sky. It was such a beautiful reminder that even in the storms, Gods Promises are true.

4. What is one thing you hope campers feel when they leave your week of camp?
"I hope that every camper leaves feeling seen, loved, and with a new sense of confidence knowing who they are in Christ."

Starting June 1st, we will be moving into Late Registration, which means the cost of camp will increase by $20. If you'd like to save a little money, now is a great time to get your camper registered!

We also never want finances to stand in the way of a child getting to experience camp. If your family needs scholarship assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we would love to help. ❤️
