Last Thursday, our Explorers sharpened their skills by conducting building-clearing exercises. We also had a special guest Chief Clay Hammac , who assisted with marching and drill instruction. We’re gearing up for our competition next month!

Our explorers are sharpening their traffic stop skills as we gear up for our January competition! We’ve welcomed a few new faces to the post and can’t wait to see how they grow with our program.

Last night, our explorers trained on DUI procedures as we continue preparing for our upcoming competition in January.

A huge thank you to Lt. Smith for coming out to our Explorer meeting last week and giving a great presentation on all things related to the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force.

Yesterday our explorers continued training on felony traffic stops. Lt. Ray especially enjoyed the challenge of handling a resistant suspect. These scenarios are excellent preparation for our upcoming competition with other explorer posts in January.

This past Thursday, our explorers trained on traffic stops that escalated into a foot pursuit. They had a great time testing their cardio skils trying to keep up with Senior Advisor Woodard!

In one of our most recent trainings, explorers went through arrest procedures and burglary alarm calls. Our senior explorers took the lead in teaching as we prepare for the upcoming competition in January. Proud to see their leadership skills continue to grow!

Yesterday, our explorers trained on building clearing and traffic stops. Lt. Ray, Sgt. Eveland, and Corporal Hammac took the lead, guiding our 6 newest explorers through hands-on instruction and real-world scenarios.

We hosted our first recruitment night last night! Prospective explorers had the chance to learn more about our program and get a firsthand look at some of the training our team participates in regularly. We also took time to recognize and promote several of our current explorers for their outstanding contributions.

Explorer Lt. Ray was promoted in recognition of his years of demonstrated leadership and his continued dedication to the success of our program.

Explorer Sgt. Eveland earned his new rank thanks to his consistent involvement and the leadership he displayed during the most recent Explorer Academy.

Explorer Cpl. Hammac, having just completed his first Explorer Academy, has shown strong commitment by continually developing his law enforcement skills throughout the year.

Huge shoutout to these two for being a tremendous help at Camp Journey Chelsea last week!
Sgt. Ray and Explorer Hammac assisted with over 40 rising 6th graders, leading activities in character development, team-building exercises, and even a crisis negotiation simulation. Your leadership and engagement made a big impact amongst the camper’s.
