A major thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and contributed to the success of our inaugural event, DDG’s The Barbershop series!

The Barbershop isn’t just a place for a haircut; it's a cultural sanctuary, a center for mentorship, and a confidence booster where individuals from all walks of life unite and leave with more than a fresh cut!

As someone stated, this journey transcends ego; we all share a collective mission to positively impact our communities and empower our youth and contribute to their success.

We discussed the critical topics of mental health and mentorship. A huge shoutout to Andre C Barnes Part II and Established Gent for leading the dialogue, and to Councilman Sam Johnson, Coach Kelly Simmons III, Terrance Tucker, Idris Pearson, Steven Stokes, Pop Cooke, Dr. Walter Curry, Councilwoman Tina Herbert, and all the young men who attended. Your participation made this event special!

Special thanks to Grooming Solutions, Jessie Cooke, and Sterling for creating an inviting space and providing fresh cuts laced with wisdom.

To our youth, we hope you gained valuable insights and connections, and we look forward to continuing these intergenerational conversations that bridge gaps and foster solutions within our communities.

Calling all parents and young gents! We’re taking it back to one of the historic and premiere locations in the community, The Barbershop! Prior to Covid, the Barbershop was a as a place for conversation, learning, and community bonding?

We’re honored to announce a impactful initiative by Dapper & Distinguished Gentlemen, in partnership with Grooming Solutions. On Saturday, May 16th from 5-7 PM, we invite men, community members and most certainly the young men to revisit this cherished concept. We will engage in meaningful dialogues with community leaders and youth while enjoying refreshments and free haircuts for the first 20 young men that register. Must be 10-18 years of age.

This event is more than just haircuts; it’s an opportunity for mentorship, connection, and fun! Refreshments will be served, and remember, this is a film event; so be prepared to shine!
