Make your Valentines Day special. TVIH members Art Grau and Phil Sticha are part of the Heart of Maryland Barbershop Chorus and we will both be delivering Singing Valentines with our respective quartets on both Friday, February 13 and on Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14. We cover all of Howard County and most of the Baltimore metro area as well. Chorus quartets are available from 9 AM to 9 PM on both days. Each quartet will sing a single love song and present a single long-stemmed red rose to the lucky recipient. Relax into spring with the TVIH Meditation Series. The 2026 Virtual Spring Meditation Series, "The Elements of Life", will be facilitated by Fran Dummett beginning March 3 at 9:30am and March 5 at 7:00 pm. This program explores the 5 elements of Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Space through guided sessions that include self-reflection, gentle Tai Chi, soothing music, and meditation. Meet Frank Herron, a member of the Village in Howard, in our podcast studio Jan 28th. Frank served in the Navy for 31 years, from 1963 to 1994. and retired as a Captain. He enjoyed a complex and fascinating career as a navy pilot and participated in the space program in the 1960s. TVIH offers these programs on its YouTube page. The Village In Howard (TVIH) is a member-based community of Howard County residents 55 and older who enjoy life and new friendships, who are willing to help each other, and who want to live independently in our homes and neighborhoods.

Our Calendar offers social, cultural and educational activities, and we welcome members and nonmembers to become volunteers who assist members in a variety of ways, including transportation to medical appointments, doing minor home repairs, helping with shopping and much more.
