Lunch.

A couple of coffees.

For $20 a month for 12 months, you can become a VAlanthropy Village Builder — joining a community of people helping create long-term stability for veterans through Hidden Wounds Village Alpha, VAlanthropy’s permanent affordable veteran housing initiative in Sumter, South Carolina.

One person giving $20 is meaningful.

Not every milestone comes with heavy equipment, fresh concrete, or walls going up.

Some of the most important progress at Hidden Wounds Village Alpha is happening through architectural coordination, plan review, accessibility checks, funding compliance, and the many details required to build permanent affordable housing responsibly.

Fred Altman and project architect Larry Woodrum recently completed the latest set of plans for submission to SC Housing. This step helps move the project toward its next phase while protecting the development, its funding, and the veterans who will one day call this community home.

The work may not always be visible from the road-but the mission continues to move forward.

VAlanthropy is leading the development, infrastructure, construction, furnishing, and long-term sustainability of Hidden Wounds Village Alpha—a community being built to provide stable, affordable housing and opportunities for veterans to thrive.

Now, we’re asking 100 people to join our $20 Monthly Village Builder Challenge.

Your consistent support helps us continue building, furnishing, and preparing for the Village’s long-term future. Our first 100 monthly donors will be recognized as Founding Village Builders.
