🔥 This is a BIG weekend, Columbia!

It's the first official weekend of summer and Father’s Day weekend — the perfect time to get outside, groove to the music, enjoy great food with good friends and soak up everything our town has lined up.

🎶 Tonight — June 19 — Music in the Park
We’ll kick things off at Locust Street Park with a 300th Anniversary ceremony at 5:30 PM, then Central City Orchestra takes over with a high‑energy show that’ll have everyone showing off their dance moves and soaking up those summer vibes.

🚗 Then Saturday — Columbia Car Show "Thunder on the River"
525 of the coolest cars on the East Coast roll into downtown from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Great food, awesome rides, and at noon, get ready to feel the THUNDER when those engines roar.

Brought to you by the Columbia Lions and our amazing sponsors.

Summer starts now! See you out there.

What a beautiful evening with an even more beautiful view at last night’s Lions Club meeting.

We had the privilege of honoring our Lion of the Year, John Meshey. John’s passion for serving the town he grew up in and his unwavering dedication to helping others makes Columbia a better place. We are incredibly grateful for all he does, and this recognition is so well deserved.

We also had the opportunity to thank our outgoing President, Paul Resch, for his outstanding leadership and dedication to the Columbia Lions and our community. Paul has led with heart, commitment, and a true spirit of service, setting the bar high for those who follow.

Thank you, John and Paul, for all you do. Columbia is better because of people like you. 🦁❤️

Celebrating 45 Years of Service

Tonight, the Columbia Lions presented 45‑year service awards to Andy Ohrel and John Grunden.

The awards were presented by four Lions who each have 40+ years of service themselves: Jeff Deascenti, Grant Shultz, Mark Seibert and Bill Smith.

Altogether, these members represent more than 250 years of combined service. That’s an impressive record of showing up, helping neighbors and living out the Lions motto: We Serve.

Proud of these members, proud of this club and proud of what service looks like in Columbia.
