Special thanks to the P.E.A.C.E. and H.O.P.E. Center for Youth and Mrs. Stephanie for working “extra overtime” with one of our young princesses on her birthday. What a woman of many talents!

By the way, we are beginning our Barber Skills Program Monday. We have a few spots left, don’t miss out! We digging in young people, lets get a life skill that can help build on that generational wealth.

Special thanks to everyone who made this event today possible, starting with the staff, the Director Mrs. Stephanie, who have always stood on the frontlines to ensure that our youth are heard and valued. To our community members and youth who showed up and enjoyed and supported the Center. We were blessed to award seven scholarships to high school seniors seeking college or a trade from our P.E.A.C.E. and H.O.P.E. Bulldog Scholarship Foundation. And to our donors, the City of Columbia, and the Boone County Children’s Service Fund who makes this possible.

Every day is a special day in the work of “Community”, no matter how hard and difficult things can be. This is particularly true when it comes to mentoring and helping our youth develop the best version of themselves. The ability and willingness to give themselves an opportunity to succeed in their lives, careers and their families is something to be admired and thankful for; particularly in this political climate. This one of the reasons why tomorrow the staff, administrators, and executive board will be honoring a group of students in CPS with scholarships to assist in that continued commitment to themselves with P.E.A.C.E. and H.O.P.E. Bulldog Scholarships. It is because these kiddos that we are continually inspired to invest in their peers who may not have decided what’s next in their lives. We just want to be there in case they reach out. That is why tomorrow we will be officially opening up the Teen Center. We think it is a pretty great space for the Teens; you can let us know tomorrow at 5pm during the Grand Opening. See you there!!
