💜 Monthly Fund Highlights: Supporting Families

October's focus on Domestic Violence Awareness Month reminds us of the importance of having strong support systems for individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.

Through charitable funds at the Community Foundation of Central Missouri, donors can support organizations working to provide safety, resources, education, and opportunities for people in our communities.

💙 $28,500 awarded to strengthen our communities!

This Wednesday, October 21st, the Community Foundation of Central Missouri celebrated its 2026 grant recipients at a check presentation ceremony in Columbia!

Through our Community Impact and Community Support Grants, we awarded $28,500 to local nonprofits supporting programs in education, the arts, human services, and community development across our 10-county service area.

This year's grants will help support projects ranging from therapeutic riding arena improvements and youth programs to home-delivered meals, literacy workshops, children's arts programming, survivor transportation assistance, and more.

We received more than 60 applications this grant cycle. While we couldn't fund every request, we're proud to help these organizations move important projects and services forward.

Congratulations to all our 2026 grant recipients, and thank you for the work you do to make central Missouri a stronger place to live!

This annual campaign is an opportunity to support participating nonprofits throughout central Missouri and help strengthen the organizations serving our communities.

We're still a little ways away, but now is a good time to start thinking about the organizations and causes you want to support this year.
