Pride belongs here, too. 🏳️‍🌈

This month and every month, we’re celebrating LGBTQ+ joy, resilience, and leadership across South Carolina.

We’re also holding deep gratitude for the organizations, advocates, and community partners who show up year-round creating safer spaces, expanding access to care, protecting rights, building community, and reminding people that they are not alone.

Follow and support the partners doing this work across our state: SC United for Justice & Equality, SC Equality, We Are Family, Harriet Hancock LGBT Center, and Alliance For Full Acceptance.

Happy Pride, South Carolina.

Summer break is almost here ☀️ but for many families, that doesn’t mean things get easier.

When school is out, parents and caregivers are left figuring out childcare, summer camps, work schedules, transportation, and rising costs all at once. For too many families, care is too expensive, too limited, or too hard to access.

As summer approaches, we’re reminded that families need more than temporary solutions. They need affordable, accessible childcare that supports parents, caregivers, children, and communities across South Carolina.

📢 November isn’t the only election moment that matters.

Primaries help shape who appears on the ballot and understanding the process helps communities show up before decisions are already made.

South Carolina’s statewide primaries are currently scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, and early voting is from May 26-June 5!

Check your registration, know your ballot, and make a plan to vote 🗳️

WREN offers sessions across South Carolina, including advocacy trainings, community conversations, letter-writing workshops, and more. These gatherings are designed to help communities better understand the issues impacting women, girls, and families and how to turn that knowledge into action.

Real stories can create real impact.

When you share your experience through WREN’s Storyteller Series, your story can help show lawmakers and the public what policies look like in everyday life. Those lived experiences can shape conversations, inform advocacy, and help move South Carolina toward lasting change.

Your story matters and it can help move us forward. ✊

Share it at: scwren.org/advocacy-resources/share-your-story/
