The Trailblazers had a great meeting yesterday evening! Beginning in April, club members worked to collect items for our nurse appreciation baskets that will be delivered to the nurses at our local hospital as a thank you for their hard work. They were able to fill up four baskets! Of course we couldn't let the evening end without a fun competition of "Face the Cookie". It was definitely harder than it looked!

🎨🇺🇸 Calling all 4-H’ers in grades 3–12! Celebrate America’s 250th by entering the American Heroes Student Art Contest. Create original 2D artwork and a short artist statement inspired by one of 250 historic Americans.

🏆 Winners will earn a trip to Washington, DC this July, with their work featured at the Great American State Fair and honored at a national ceremony.

4-H clubs—let’s represent every state and territory!

Fire up the grill!! It's BBQ Cookout time!

South Cook-out: July 7th - Forrest County
North Cook-out: July 8th - Montgomery County

State Cook-out: July 14th - MSU campus Poultry Science Building

Senior participants placing 1st-3rd in Chicken and Turkey ONLY at the regional contests will advance to compete at the state level in the national qualifier. Grand champions of the state contest will advance to the national contest in Louisville, KY.

Both regional contests will include the following categories:
Beef
Pork
Chicken
Turkey

Also, North and South Omelet Cook-off Contests will be at the North and South BBQ Contests as well. Stay tuned for more details on that.
