A much shorter 15 mile day. Made Longview Baptist Church at Lee's Summit by 2pm. Enjoyed a fantastic fellowship meal with Pastor Andy Lynn, spouse Laurie, and members of the congregation. Super fine group of people! Tomorrow I'll be thinking of the fellowship I've received and folks being blessed with hope and seeing a brighter future for themselves and their families.

Chilhowee Baptist AWANA group just left at 8pm. A VERY full day of fellowship, friendship and CROP walk'n! LInda and Larry each walked part of the way. Friday's Chilhowee to Pleasant Hill is Don's last 27 mile day. Higher temperatures predicted so leaving extra early. Down 206 - 104 To Go
I had a super fine day of walking. I met friends, and made new friends, on the Katy today. I still walked the 27 miles, but friends uplifted me. That is what Church World Service does. Adding variety to a farmers planting, reducing dependency on a single crop. A safe drinking water project in an isolated community so the women and girls aren't walking miles fetching water. Refugees fleeing civil strife, or a natural catastrophe, while their retaining few possessions. Hope precedes future as folks need hope to see a future.

Got on the trail about 05:30. It was a long day of walking with 27 miles. Was on my feet 5:30am - 4:30pm except the half hour sitting on a log having lunch.
