This month, we had 14 men from In2Action go the Extra Mile and complete our high accountability 16-week program!

Recently, we partnered with The DeBruce Foundation and the William Guitar Little Foundation to participate in Agilities training focused on career readiness and workforce development.

The Agilities framework helps create a shared language around skills, strengths, and opportunities, while The DeBruce Foundation provides free career literacy tools that empower individuals to recognize their potential and connect with meaningful career pathways.

This collaboration brings community leaders together to strengthen workforce readiness and economic mobility across Columbia, and we are so grateful for this partnership. We can’t wait to see the positive impact that will continue to grow! 💜

“Art inspired by the community. For community.” 💜

These words come from Adrienne Luther, not only an incredibly talented muralist, but also a neighbor to Love Columbia and our community. Adrienne has spent countless hours designing and painting murals at Gigi’s Place to help it feel even more like home. Rooted in Missouri culture, these murals create a space that feels welcoming, comforting, and full of life for the families who walk through our doors. In addition to the main wall, each door has its own sprouts and garden scene, making sure each door feels like home.

A special thank you as well to our friends at Johnston Paint & Supply for donating the supplies that helped make this project possible. Seeing our community come together to fill lives with color is truly special.

Today, we’re celebrating moms like Coresa Coloney!

As a single mom, Coresa completed Extra Mile and now serves as an Extra Mile coach, encouraging and walking alongside others on their journey. This week, she brought a gift basket for a mom moving into Love Forward Homes and an extra bag of supplies to create another basket for someone else.

Recently, 10 volunteers partnered with Caring for Columbia and Love Columbia to help update our Information Library resources, completing an incredible amount of work in just one session.
