Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center

Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center Cedar Creek serves individuals with special needs in the mid-Missouri community by using horses and people to improve quality of life.

This is a non-profit organization that serves children and adults with special needs. Volunteers are critical to the success of the program and its riders! You don't need horse experience to help. We need people to walk alongside the horse and assist riders with balance as well as more experienced people to lead horses. Volunteers commit to a 2-hour shift for an 8-week session. Not only is it a lo

One of the bravest, kindest and amazing Veterans I have ever had the privilege of meeting and working with was Keith Kryger. He along with his beautiful wife Ann came to Cedar Creek over 20 years ago and became a part of our family. Keith had so many challenges but he overcame so many obstacles and continued to live life to its fullest. He continued to ride long after others would have quit. His wife Ann is a testament to devotion. She was always an advocate for whatever was best for Keith.
Keith rode a horse named JD that enabled him to leave his wheelchair and use a walker! Keith rode as long as his body would let him and when he no longer could participate Ann became a Rider and this kept their horse memories alive for a few more years.
Keith has finally gone to heaven where he will fit in perfectly because he was an Angel. Many times when Cedar Creek had needed help in the past Keith and Ann were there for us. Whether we needed a new gate or a ride-A-thon to be a success, Ann and Keith showed their love.
We will miss Keith so much. He was far and above our favorite Veteran.
