Columbia Human Rights Enhancement Program - Funding Available

Do you have a human-rights activity or project that could use up to $500 in support? The City of Columbia Human Rights Enhancement Program (HREP) is dedicated to supporting projects that promote equal rights and/or enhance cultural awareness. Past funds have been used for guest speakers, workshops, awards, film screenings, cultural celebrations, and distributing educational materials. More information and application available.

Update: All tickets for the showing of "The Librarians" are gone! Keep a lookout for other viewing opportunities including: a free showing at the Daniel Boone Regional Library in partnership with KMOS on Wednesday, April 22 at 6:00 p.m and a paid online screening ($15) + Right to Read rally with a conversation with the filmmakers, film subjects and authors coming up on January 10.

This celebration includes food, refreshments, entertainment, and a black-owned business showcase!

Come experience and learn about Kwanzaa while also having the opportunity to support local businesses. This is a FREE event with the exception of buying anything from the shops.
