We had a great time participating in this event! We cleaned for the St. Louis Zoo, and although they didn't win, it was great getting to contribute! Looking forward to next year 🫑

Wild Waterway Rescue has ended, and this year the traveling trophy goes to a new winner.

This year’s challenge took place over nine days, from November 1 to November 9.

Looking for a great way to spend your chilly Saturday mornings? Come get involved in the sanctuary!

This month, we're focusing on getting native seeds on the ground to replace all the invasive species we removed throughout the summer and fall.

Since it's so cold, we typically have a fire and hot coffee waiting before we get started. It's a great chance to warm up, catch up, and build community.

Our full volunteer schedule is attached. Come spend some time with us! ❄️

Hey everyone,

Wanted to send an update that this Saturday (11/8) we are hosting a trash pickup event in the Hinkson Creek as part of the Missouri Stream Team's Wild Waterways Rescue program. We'll meet from ~9am-12pm.

All are welcome to participate and we'd love to have as many hands on deck as possible! We'll provide the trash bags and gloves, but we ask that you bring shoes that you don't mind getting wet/muddy since we'll be working along the creek.

As per usual, meet at the sanctuary visiting area in the morning for coffee and tea and then we'll walk down to the Hinkson and start cleaning!

Up for another challenge? Let the good times roll as we join Missouri zoos and aquaria to help our streams during our Wild Waterway Rescue litter pickup challenge.

Join us in the rescue mission November 1-9.

Donate your tonnage to your zoo/aquaria of choice by selecting Wild Waterway Rescue on your activity report. Reporting link in the comments.
