Through personalized tutoring, enrichment activities, and strong family support, students are encouraged to believe in themselves, take ownership of their learning, and discover their strengths. By addressing the whole child — academically, socially, and emotionally — we help students grow not only as learners, but as leaders.

Megan shared how GAP has provided her children with mentorship, structure, encouragement, and opportunities that help them grow into confident, successful young people. The Process of Success đź’™

All the students were puzzled when their tutor said, “You’re both right!”

Two students had just solved the same math problem, arriving at the correct answer, but using different methods. Each was convinced the other had made a mistake.

"There is more than one way to find the correct answer," their tutor explained. "So long as you can solve for x, that is the goal."

GAP tutoring sessions are filled with teaching moments just like this. Doctoral math tutors sitting alongside young students to explain the "why" of math processes. We are grateful for our wonderful volunteers who meet each student where they are at and help them find clarity to keep going.
