The Church State Council is investing in the next generation of leaders passionate about religious freedom and biblical justice.

This new year-long fellowship program is designed for young adults who want to make an impact—through education, advocacy, and service. From in-person orientation to virtual learning and a culminating experience in Washington, D.C., fellows will be equipped to lead with faith, conviction, and purpose.

Please keep this initiative and its participants in your prayers as they prepare to serve both the church and their communities.

This update highlights four major developments shaping the religious freedom landscape in Canada right now.

From proposed hate speech legislation (Bill C-9), to Quebec’s secularism laws, to the growing use of the notwithstanding clause, and ongoing concerns around Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD)—these issues raise important questions about faith, conscience, and the role of religion in the public square.

As these changes unfold, we are called to stay informed, engaged, and prayerful. Religious liberty requires thoughtful attention and faithful stewardship—not just as a legal principle, but as a lived reality for all.

“We must obey God rather than man.” — Acts 5:29

Please continue to pray for the church in Canada and for all those navigating these complex challenges.

Behind every policy change are real communities, real leaders, and real lives being impacted. We’re grateful to see progress that supports stability for congregations and allows ministry to continue without interruption.

Thank you to everyone who has been praying, advocating, and staying engaged in the work of protecting religious freedom.

Every student deserves the freedom to live out their faith — including those on public college campuses.

The Equal Campus Access Act ensures that faith-based student organizations are treated fairly and have the same rights as all other campus groups.

As a church, we continue to advocate for this vital legislation that protects freedom of belief and expression for students of all faiths.
