Thimble & Thread Quilt Guild of Greater St. Louis brings in national and local experts for monthly programs and sponsors workshops and yearly retreats. ng on all sides of the City Center site. Please join us! Visitors are welcome at any meeting. At the first membership meeting a visitor attends, the visitor fee is waived unless there is a national speaker. Visitor fee is $3.00 per meeting; $5.00 when there is a national speaker. Dues are $30 a year payable July 1. Membership benefits include a monthly newsletter, admission to monthly meetings, discounts on retreats and workshops and a whole new circle of friends who enjoy quilting as much as you do. The agenda of the meetings consists of an educational presentation and business meeting, concluding with a “show and tell” session of projects made by Guild members. During the evening, we have attendance prizes as well as a Fabric raffle, featuring collections from local shops, where money is raised for the guild. The Free Table is a chance to donate quilt related items and fabric you don’t need any more or to find a “new” temptation for your stash. Please be aware that anything you bring that is not adopted by someone else goes back home with you. Quilts for several charitable organizations are an important part of the Guild’s mission and kits are available for you to take home and complete. We donate quilts to Sweet Babies, Home Sweet Home and Nurses for Newborns among other groups.
