Your voice matters! You saved auto-stay!

Thanks to James Smith, James Emerson Smith Jr and 13 other bipartisan lawmakers for standing against the roll back of citizens' rights to pause irreparable harm while final administrative review occurs. Citizens should be able to challenge government decisions. Debate was adjourned yesterday by a vote of 14-5 on S.105, the bill seeking to roll back the "automatic stay" that enables citizens to pause forward movement on a damaging project such as a toxic waste dump, polluting wastewater utility, open pit mine, or others before a permit to operate becomes a final permit.
