July is UV Safety Awareness Month!

Outdoor play is an important part of healthy childhood development. As children spend more time outside this summer, it’s a great opportunity to practice simple sun safety habits that help protect young skin.

Tips for families and early childhood educators:
🚗 Never leave children in a parked car
🕶️ Use sunscreen and protective clothing
🥵 Watch for signs of heat exhaustion
💧 Encourage hydration during outdoor play

By modeling these healthy habits, families and educators can help children learn the importance of protecting their skin while still enjoying safe, active play outdoors.

Every Saturday, local nonprofits and community organizations have the opportunity to partner with us and host free children's activities, at the one room schoolhouse. Community groups can use the opportunity to share resources, connect with shoppers, and build community visibility. This Saturday at the one room schoolhouse, Restoration Chiropractic will be hosting a fun garden craft for all ages! Participants can paint a small terracotta post using stencils and paint markers. 🎨🪴
