The mission of Cosmopolitan International is to contribute to community well-being through charitable donations and volunteer service with special emphasis on supporting efforts to prevent and find a cure for diabetes. Although most people know us as the Show-Me Cosmos, our formal name is The Columbia Show-Me Cosmopolitan Club
We are a service club dedicated to enriching our community through Uni
ty, Service and Action. We engage in fundraising activities throughout the year and donate funds to Columbia-area not-for-profit organizations. Founded in 1987, our club caters to working people by holding a dinner meeting on the first Thursday of each month at a local restaurant. This format allows both single and married people to participate in an international organization without taking time from an already busy workday. Social time starts at 6:30 pm, dinner is served at 7:00 pm followed by a business meeting and a program presented by a speaker. We conclude by 9:00 pm.
