A Midlands volunteer fire department, which was forever changed when two of its first responders died last year, received a transformative donation on Wednesday.

Tonight we had the honor to present Circle Fire Department with a check for over $50,000 raised by sponsors and friends who participated in our Fallen Heroes' Benefit for fallen Firefighters Chad Satcher and Landon Bodie.

Thank you to all of our generous sponsors and patrons for your support of Circle Fire Department. The money raised will be used to purchase new and upgrade equipment for the department.

Pollen brings spring!

If you haven’t been outside today, it’s gender reveal time for our local pine trees. If the smoke is a lemon color it’s a boy, if it’s a saffron color it’s a girl. Maybe I got that backwards - it’s so hard to tell nowadays.

Not sure what the appropriate way to celebrate looks like, but seeing nature do its thing does bring a tear to my eye.

There’s an old wives tale that if you yell “hachooo” at the trees it’ll bring you good luck.
