Active Minds Mizzou

Active Minds Mizzou Changing the conversation about mental health on Mizzou's campus.

Active Minds is a student-run mental health awareness, education, and advocacy organization on campus. The group is designed to utilize peer outreach and increase student's awareness of mental health issues and symptoms of mental illness, provide info about available resources, and encourage students to seek help for themselves or a friend as soon as needed. Our goal is to remove the stigma that s

urrounds mental illness and create and open environment for discussion of mental health issues. Here at Mizzou we have so many resources available to students and we are hoping to promote those resources and make mental health easier to talk about through events and activities. If you'd like to request a presentation from an Active Minds Peer Educator, please follow this link: http://wellness.missouri.edu/peer_presentations.html

Through campus-wide events and national programs, Active Minds aims to remove the stigma that surrounds mental health issues, and create a comfortable environment for an open conversation about mental health issues.
