💙 THESE ARE THE FACES OF SECOND CHANCES, HOPE, AND NEW BEGINNINGS! 💙

Meet some of the men of Reconciliation Ministries (RM)!

These men are working toward brighter futures, rebuilding their lives, and taking steps toward new opportunities. And at Second Saturday USA, we believe that everyone deserves someone who believes in them! ❤️

Through our partnership with Reconciliation Ministries, we've had the privilege of working alongside these men, building relationships, sharing our faith, and providing opportunities to learn valuable skills.

🛠️ THIS is why our Giving Tuesday campaign matters!

This year, we're raising funds to provide scholarships for individuals pursuing training and certifications in skilled trades, including all areas of construction and related industries.

Imagine what an opportunity like this could mean for one of these men—or someone else in our community who simply needs a chance!

A certification could open the door to a career, financial stability, and a future they may have never thought possible.

We're not just investing in careers. We're investing in PEOPLE. 💙

🙏 Because sometimes, changing a life starts with someone saying, "I believe in you."

💙 WHO DO YOU KNOW? 💙

Think about the people in your life for a moment...

👷 A young adult who isn't sure college is the right path?

🔧 Someone working a job but dreaming of a career with better opportunities?

🛠️ A hardworking individual who would love to learn a skilled trade but can't afford the training or certification?

WHO DO YOU KNOW that could use a scholarship to change their future?

This Giving Tuesday, Second Saturday USA is raising funds to help individuals pursue training and certifications in all areas of skilled trades, including construction and related industries.

We believe that sometimes all someone needs is an opportunity and someone who believes in them! ❤️

👇 Now we want to hear from YOU!

Tag someone in the comments who could use someone to believe in them! Someone who just needs an opportunity to take that next step toward a brighter future.

If you'd rather share their name privately, feel free to send us a direct message!

Together, we can open doors, build careers, and change lives—one opportunity at a time!

🔨 Building Futures. Changing Lives. One Opportunity at a Time.

At Second Saturday, we believe that sometimes the greatest gift you can give someone isn't just a helping hand today—it's an opportunity for a better tomorrow. ❤️

This year, our Giving Tuesday campaign is focused on something close to our hearts: helping individuals pursue careers in the skilled trades.

Not every career path requires a four-year college degree. For many young adults and individuals looking for a fresh start, careers in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and construction can provide financial stability, purpose, and a future filled with opportunity.

💙 Here's how we hope to use the funds raised this Giving Tuesday:

🔨 Help cover the costs of trade certifications and testing.

🔨 Remove financial barriers for individuals pursuing skilled trade careers.

🔨 Encourage hands-on learning, mentorship, and opportunities to develop valuable skills.

🔨 Invest in individuals who can one day use those same skills to serve others in their communities.

At Second Saturday, we're not just passionate about repairing homes. We're passionate about building relationships, strengthening communities, and helping people discover the gifts God has given them.

This Giving Tuesday, December 1, we invite you to help us invest in the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

Because when we invest in people, the impact can reach far beyond a single home. ❤️

✝️ Sunday Scripture

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:8

Sometimes our plans change, but God's purpose never does. ❤️

Although yesterday's GO Event at Reconciliation Ministries was canceled due to the weather, our hearts remain committed to the work God has called us to do.

Serving isn't just about showing up with tools in hand. It's about having a willing heart, being ready to help, encouraging one another, and trusting God's timing.

Every person has something they can use to bless someone else—a skill, a helping hand, an encouraging word, a prayer, or simply a willingness to say, “Here I am, Lord. Use me.”

As we begin a new week, may we remember that God equips us for every good work, even when the plans don't go quite as expected.

🙏 We're thankful for every volunteer who was ready to serve yesterday, and we look forward to the next opportunity to come together and put our faith into action!

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This month, we pause to recognize the women and families whose lives have been touched by breast cancer—the fighters, the survivors, the caregivers, and those whose memory continues to live on in the people who love them.

At Second Saturday, we believe caring for our neighbors means showing up in the hard seasons, carrying one another’s burdens, and reminding people they are not alone.

💗 Today, we pray for strength for those undergoing treatment, peace for families walking alongside them, wisdom for doctors and caregivers, and comfort for those remembering someone they have lost.

And we encourage the women in our community: take care of yourself, know your risk, and stay up to date with recommended screenings.

🎀 This October, we wear pink—and this Saturday, we’re putting our faith into action.

Come volunteer with us at our Second Saturday GO Event and WEAR PINK as we serve our neighbors and show our support for everyone impacted by breast cancer. 💗🔨

Come GO with us!

con🔨 We’re heading back to Reconciliation Ministries this Saturday!

Last month, our volunteers rolled up their sleeves alongside Reconciliation Ministries to tackle projects that will make a lasting difference—from new siding and composite steps to fencing, landscaping, safety improvements, and more.

But the work isn’t finished yet. ❤️

This Saturday, the Second Saturday crew is heading back out for another GO Event to keep serving, keep building, and keep showing the love of Christ through action.

Every project completed means more than a repair. It means strengthening a ministry that is changing lives and helping men build a new future.

🙏 Pray for our volunteers, the Reconciliation Ministries team, and everyone we’ll have the opportunity to serve alongside this weekend.

Want to serve with us? There’s always room for another set of hands!

Sunday Scripture 🙏
“Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:58

Today, our hearts and prayers are with our friends and ministry partners at Home Works as they mourn the loss of Darryl Williams.

Darryl was part of Home Works from its earliest days—a site leader, advocate, volunteer, prayer leader, and faithful servant who helped lay so many of the building blocks for the ministry it is today. His impact can be seen not only in the organization he helped build, but in the countless volunteers and homeowners whose lives he touched along the way.

We are grateful for people like Darryl who spend their lives quietly and faithfully serving others. The work of willing hands and a servant's heart leaves a legacy that continues long after the work is done.

From all of us at Second Saturday, we are praying for Darryl's family and the entire Home Works family during this time. 💙🙏
