Honoring South Carolina’s Trailblazing Zetas | Black History Month 2025
This Black History Month, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated proudly celebrates the legacy of our esteemed members from South Carolina who have made a lasting impact in their communities and beyond.
We honor Dr. Barbara C. Moore, the 20th International President of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, whose visionary leadership strengthened our organization’s commitment to service and scholarship. Her dedication to Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) expanded our global reach and community impact.
We honor Scarlet H. Black, A prominent leader within the sorority, Scarlet H. Black has held several significant positions, including International First Anti-Basileus, International Second Anti-Basileus, Chair of the Revised 2013 Membership Intake Process, and Chair of the 14th Edition (2015) of the National Handbook. She is also the creator of the “Finer Women Don’t Haze” initiative and has served as the 16th Southeastern Regional Director and the 8th South Carolina State Director. 
As Zetas, we stand on the shoulders of these phenomenal women, carrying forward the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. Let’s continue to uplift our communities and create history every day.
