The NPHC was born from necessity, resilience, and the unwavering belief that together, our organizations could uplift our communities, challenge injustice, and shape the world. Today starts Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This Friday, we are asking everyone to wear the color Teal. Teal represents Gentleness, calmness, strength, and elegance. This month is about raising awareness about sexual violence and spreading the world on how to prevent it. The theme for this year is, “TOGETHER WE ACT, UNITED WE CHANGE.”

Honoring South Carolina’s Trailblazing Zetas | Black History Month 2025

This Black History Month, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated proudly celebrates the legacy of our esteemed members from South Carolina who have made a lasting impact in their communities and beyond.

We honor Dr. Barbara C. Moore, the 20th International President of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, whose visionary leadership strengthened our organization’s commitment to service and scholarship. Her dedication to Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) expanded our global reach and community impact.

We honor Scarlet H. Black, A prominent leader within the sorority, Scarlet H. Black has held several significant positions, including International First Anti-Basileus, International Second Anti-Basileus, Chair of the Revised 2013 Membership Intake Process, and Chair of the 14th Edition (2015) of the National Handbook. She is also the creator of the “Finer Women Don’t Haze” initiative and has served as the 16th Southeastern Regional Director and the 8th South Carolina State Director. 

As Zetas, we stand on the shoulders of these phenomenal women, carrying forward the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. Let’s continue to uplift our communities and create history every day.
